We drove to Pensacola on Friday night and the rest of the way to Houston on Saturday. We stopped at the McD playarea in Lake City and got the kids tired, as suggested by Celena! They had a blast and were able to sleep pretty soon after hitting the road. We visited the Houston Children's Museum with Jaakko, Mummo and Iiris on Monday. I did lots of cleaning at Jaakko's on the weekend ,and my siblings even painted the dining room yellow one night. Rauno got to ride on Jaakko's forklift and inspect the interesting automobiles in the yard.
Tuesday we arrvied in Huntsville. So far we have gone swimming, visited Lyyli in the Carriage Inn and made a trip to the Wal-Mart Supercenter, The Thing to do in H-ville. I saw my 10th grade history teacher, Mrs. Gatlin, there, and she remembered me. She was the supervisor of a political club we tried to start but then decided she would not be the overseer of some Communist or environmental political group. Hehehe. This is apparently what she thought of us. Very nice lady though.
Emily will visit us soon and we'll make coffee. It is nice to not have massive plans and get to take it easy. And it's nice to see Iiris for a change too.
